One of the best things I ever did (twice) was go to The Bailey Guitar Workshop in Ayr to do the Build Your Own Guitar course. If it's at all possible for you to do the same then I thoroughly recommend it to one and all!

Cloud Guitar - Natural wood - Maple with rosewood stripes. Rosewood Fretboard. Abalone markers. Dimarzio humbuckers with tap. Gotoh Tuners. 24 Frets. Made in October 2008.

I'll also be posting my opinions of the the guitar luthier books i've picked up over the last few years and my first attempts to make a guitar without the Yoda like guidance of Mr Bailey!
